It\u2019s a collection of health documents that your healthcare providers can share \u2014 with your consent \u2014 because they are useful and relevant to improving your medical follow-up. These documents, published via the health networks in Wallonia, Brussels, and Flanders, make up your shared health record.<\/p>\n
Publishing documents in your shared health record is not a legal obligation<\/strong>. It\u2019s not an automatic system: not all your medical data will be included by default, even if it exists with different providers or hospitals.<\/p>\n To make sure useful information is shared, it\u2019s important to ask each healthcare provider whether they publish your documents in the shared health record.<\/p>\n Your consent<\/strong> is the starting point.
