Your doctor, pharmacist, hospital, immediately sees via its software if you have already given your consent<\/p>\n<p>Your consent allows the exchange of digital health data securely between all the care providers and institutions with whom you have a therapeutic relationship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You are free to subscribe and unsubscribe at any time.<\/strong> Deregistration also has a national scope. Therefore, you do not have to give your consent again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nevertheless, if you want to access your shared health records, you must register with the Brussels Health Network platform by clicking the \u201cI wish to register\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the home page, click on\u00a0 &#8220;e-ID login&#8221; or &#8220;Itsme login&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are registered, you will automatically go to the home page of your secure portal.<\/li>\n<li>If you have not yet registered, a message will notify you and suggest that you register<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #69645a; font-family: Nunito, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida, sans-serif; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 900; text-align: justify;\">2 &#8211; The therapeutic relationship<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A \u201ctherapeutic relationship\u201d <strong>is created when there is contact between a patient and a health care provider<\/strong> <strong>as part of a care relationship<\/strong>. The concept of a therapeutic relationship encompasses any health professional who is involved in the continuity of care of a patient, including specialists in analysis or medical imaging. If you have given your consent, the creation of this relationship allows the healthcare professional to access your shared data.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>This means that your company doctor, your mutual insurance company doctor or your insurance company doctor do not have access to your health data.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The doctor creates this therapeutic relationship directly via the GP\u2019s software during your consultation. If you wish, you can manage these links via the Brussels Health Network platform. Find out how by watching the video above.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the Brussels Health Network and click on the button<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/webapp.abrumet.be\/portal\/patient\/home?l=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cpatient login\u201d\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Authenticateyourself using itsme or your eID card<\/li>\n<li>Click the tab \u201cHealth Care Team\u201d<\/li>\n<li>You can view your current and past therapeutic relationships, add an authorization, or exclude a healthcare professional.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As soon as you remove a therapeutic link, the healthcare professional no longer has access to your data via the health networks. This forms part of the hospital&#8217;s <strong data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2084\">&#8220;Circle of Trust&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2087\" data-end=\"2331\" class=\"\">This allows healthcare professionals working within the hospital and involved in your care to access the essential information in your <strong data-start=\"2222\" data-end=\"2246\">shared health record<\/strong> in order to treat you effectively. All access to your record is logged and recorded.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2333\" data-end=\"2813\" class=\"\">That is why, when you consult the <strong data-start=\"2367\" data-end=\"2385\">access history<\/strong> in your private space on the <strong data-start=\"2415\" data-end=\"2442\">Brussels Health Network<\/strong>, you may see the name of a healthcare provider you do not personally know. This could be, for example, an <strong data-start=\"2549\" data-end=\"2569\">anesthesiologist<\/strong> who prepared your procedure or a <strong data-start=\"2603\" data-end=\"2618\">radiologist<\/strong> who reviewed your medical imaging. All of these accesses must occur strictly within the framework of <strong data-start=\"2720\" data-end=\"2742\">continuity of care<\/strong>, meaning they are needed to ensure proper follow-up of your treatment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2815\" data-end=\"3305\" class=\"\">According to <strong data-start=\"2828\" data-end=\"2861\">Article 458 of the Penal Code<\/strong>, unauthorized access to a medical document is punishable by law. If you notice inappropriate or unjustified access to your health data, you have the right to contact the hospital or the healthcare provider directly to understand the reason for the access. If necessary, you can initiate legal proceedings. If direct contact with the provider is difficult, you may reach out to the <strong data-start=\"3243\" data-end=\"3275\">hospital\u2019s mediation service<\/strong> where the provider practices.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; link_font=&#8221;||||on||||&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;||11px|||&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #69645a; font-family: Nunito, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida, sans-serif; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 900;\">3 &#8211; The access matrix<\/span><strong><\/strong><span style=\"color: #69645a; font-family: Nunito, Helvetica, Arial, Lucida, sans-serif; font-size: 22px; font-weight: 900;\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<div><span>Depending on their access rights, each category of professional has access to certain shared data. Access rules vary according to the professionals who consult your data. For example, a pharmacist will not be able to see your laboratory results, but a doctor will be able to see the drugs you have been prescribed.<\/span><span><\/span><span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p data-start=\"40\" data-end=\"444\"><strong data-start=\"40\" data-end=\"106\">With the introduction of the concept of extended access rights<\/strong>, certain healthcare providers from the multidisciplinary sector (physiotherapists, dietitians, nurses, etc.) may now consult additional documents related to their field of expertise, provided that you have given your consent. For example, a physiotherapist may access orthopaedic reports, or a dietitian may access diabetology reports. These access rights enable more coherent and integrated care, while ensuring that only information relevant to their practice is accessible to them. You remain in control of your personal data and may manage these authorisations at any time via your personal space accessible on the <strong data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"761\">Brussels Health Network<\/strong> portal.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"778\" data-end=\"1162\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"778\" data-end=\"855\">This extended access is therefore granted only with your explicit consent<\/strong> (except in emergency situations). In practical terms, the healthcare provider concerned submits a request via the Brussels Health Network.
